Brown Receives Men's Basketball All-GLIAC Honors

Ashland University junior forward Justin Brown (Columbus, OH/Bishop Ready) has been named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Second Team All-South Division unit. Brown also secured a spot on the South Division All-Defensive Team.

Brown is a first-time member of both teams. The 6-9, 220-pound junior averaged 10.6 ppg., and 9.3 rpg. Brown pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds at Saint Joseph’s (IN) and collected 17 boards at Tiffin. His rebounds per game figure has been bettered only once in the last 22 seasons at Ashland.

This past season was Brown’s second at Ashland – he transferred to AU from West Liberty State. Last season, Brown averaged 4.9 ppg., and 4.9 rpg.

The Eagles finished the season with a 13-14 record, 6-11 in the GLIAC.
